11th October was cancelled due to resurfacing works and then the new surface was going to be reviewed 2 weeks after...

Now there are no dates for Colerne left this year (the planned ones are not there anymore).

Wonder if they will be back next year?

I do hope so. Colerne is a great circuit and it's used for sprinting as well as MSE. I suspect they make quite a bit of money from hiring the airfield so would probably be in their interest.

The airfield have put unrealistic conditions on MSE which relate to surface and paint damage. It would be too risky for them to run events up there for the foreseeable future. Keep an eye on their website but dont hold you breath. The same conditions are likely to apply for Sprinting but let's hope the new surface will have bedded in by Spring 2011.

Thats a real shame. I was hoping to get a day at Colerne soon, bit bored with Hullavington and didn't think Keevil was that great. They're the only three in reasonable distance for me :-(

that sucks! Colerne was a really good track when we drove it, really good mix of corners!

Hope they get it sorted!

How sad. I had imagined that they might have resurfaced one straight runway and left an unreasonable bump for where the track goes.
Having heard this news, I suspect somebody questioned why they were resurfacing and somebody else pushing the blame on cars rather than the weather.
