I have been involved with Porsche through Racing for over 20 years now and have worked for various teams running Ferrari 550 GT1, ran the first customer Aston Martin DBR-9 as well as Saleen S-7's etc etc, but the best cars were the Roock GT2 cars, I was involved with building the first customer cars and ran them out of Germany and the USA whilst working for Roock Racing. I am now back in the Uk with my family working for Roock again on the Road Cars.

I look forward to getting involved with the Forums.

Thanks for that, nice to know someone is spell checking my posts for me.

All the Ferrari 550's were owned by Care Racing and leased etc. to Teams, the engines were looked after and built by Prodrive who provided engine support at the track. As for the Saleens, yes they were of course R's, who's cars did I work on ? Mike Newton's, Konrad's, Nash's and more, ( too much).Aston Martin was Russian Age Racing.

Hope that clears it up a bit.

I didn't even realise Roock still existed - it all went a bit strange about 10 years ago and they vanished from motorsport overnight (a bit like Freisinger). Do they still have a German arm?

Welcome anyway.

Hi,

You are right, we did kind of go off the radar over here when we went to the States, after a couple of seasons in the ALMS and Grand AM Fabian, the owner, concentrated on the road tuning side and stopped the racing. Yes the German Road Tuning shop is as strong as ever, but the Race Shop is no more. I am now the Roock representative in this country, ( just came back ),and trying to make the Porsche guys aware that Roock is back and in the UK offering the same services as we do in the States and Germany.

As for Freisinger, he has stopped for a while, same as Konrad really. 10 or so years ago the racing was better in the US, so people like us went there.

Nice to meet you.
