Best question you have ever been asked in a job interview.
Discussion
Been asked to interview someone in 10 minutes time.
I've done this hundreds of times, but I could do with some fresh questions that are non job related.
So, I throw (with some hestitation) it open to the Lounge...
What are the best questions you've been asked in an interview?
What question do you wish you'd asked the last person you hired but didn't (can see this going badly already...)
Ok - you have 10 minutes. If any of the questions are good enough to ask and do not force me to resign this afternoon, I'll provide feedback..

Make sure you get in the old classic "What's your biggest weakness?" to which the only correct response is to reply "I can't stand working for vacuous morons who trot out pathetic interview questions" and then walk out.
Not non-job-related, but I like to ask people "if I phone one of your clients, what will they say about you?"

There is a lake that is a perfectly smooth bowl.
You are in a boat on this lake, and in the boat with you is a metal weight.
An assistant marks the water level of the lake. You then chuck the weight overboard.
When the ripples have settled, has the water level of the lake gone up, gone down or remained the same?
And why?

Out of interest, what is the answer. You are in a boat on this lake, and in the boat with you is a metal weight.

I'm voting for stays the same.
Not the best question, but my ex (a german woman) was asked the following when applying for part-time work with GAP (I know, that was her first mistake
)
Her English was very good, and when asked the question "What animal are you?" was a little confused thinking "What does this have to do with the interview?"
The others responded with "I'm a tiger, I look cute but I have claws" "I'm a cat, I am cute and like to sleep"...... the Frauleines response?
"f
k zis s
t, iz zis a f
king joke you stupid assholes? I thought zis vass an interview for a job, not a f
king kindergarten!"
And then she walked out
Never had a response or feedback though, not sure why....
