AP1 - usually used to register a Charge (amongst other things) against a Title.

Surely you should be using a conveyancer/solicitor?

Do you mean a change of ownership?

If so, I think you need a Form TR1 - transfer of whole of Title

Any advice welcome
as per usual it's for a mate.
He has the title deeds for his place (or whatever theyre called and by all means fill me in with the jargon) but when the LR created a plan about 10 years ago (there wasnt one before) they forgot to put his driveway on - they looked at a map and took the line up one side of the drive to the garage and back down the other. He didn't realise what they'd done.
Obviously he still owns the drive it just isn't on the plan.
What's usual course of action? beer

Apparently they were less that helpful saying letters would have to be sent to neighbours (who due to having a gate across their drive didnt end up with the same problem) and the council roads dept asking if any of them want to claim the drive.
Then to submit an AP1 which looks like you have to show youve purchased the driveway from yourself
Hence opening title wink

Blimey, I type rubbish when I'm drunk! First registration is of course an FR1 for anyone who cares!

Saaby, you need to be clearer about what the situation is...

Your mates LR entry doesn't show the correct extent of his land? When did he buy the property?

Is the remainder of his land registered? If the land is registered but it's wrong then someone cocked up and your mate should be looking to them to sort it out, his solicitor should have picked it up. If the rest of his land is registered what is the status of his driveway? Does it show as unregistered or is it registered to someone else?. The LR won't have made up the plan, it will have been drawn based on the plan annexed to the Transfer or Conveyance.

If it's not registered then the whole lot needs to be registered with the correct extent, which should be clear from his conveyance. The LR don't arbitrarily register without an application so they won't have just done it wrong off their own back.

There is also a procedure to correct a boundary if the plans are wrong.

Can you give the whole story...
