Hi all,

I will be picking up a 1971 Land Rover tomorrow that i will be using twice a month at most so im after the cheapest possible way to insure it. I tried go compare etc and just got stupid quotes.
Im 23 and insure my other two cars on idividual polices and pay £1500 on my Tuscan and around £600 on my 3.0 Audi A4 cab but at best i got quoted £550 on the Landy which i value at £1500 and will do no more than 2000 miles a year!

Any ideas guys?

Thanks
Sam

Try specialists like Footman James, Flux, Hagerty etc... Ordinary insurance companies are useless for specialist cars.

I got my Disco insured through Adrian Flux, mentioned PistonHeads for a discount. I explained it was a second car, for off road and Green Laneing, and they gave me some "free" discount based on the fact I have 5 years no claims on my other car, so have a good driving history, but dont have any no claims to "bring over".

They found a specialist 4x4 insurer, which gave me Green Lane and off road cover, abd I got 3rd Party cover for £218. I am 27 and live in an OK post code. Car is on driveway
