BMW North America issue recall on E9x 335i model

Hadn't seen this posted on here - BMW North America have issued a recall for all 2007-2009 E9x N54 powered cars due to extremely high rates of high pressure fuel pump failures.

BMW had been denying the issue for a long time, however an ABC News story and class action lawsuit forced them into issuing the recall.

My car has already had 2 HPFP's replaced and is now part of this recall. Is this an issue on cars sold outside North America as well? Maybe something to do with the fuel used over here?

BMW UK should do the same here!
