Liverpool to Llandudno North Whales, what road?

I'm doing this in a couple of hours, and i'm just wondering what would the best road to take? I plan on maybe visiting the evo triangle on the way back..

Just head inland slightly, to one of the A/B roads that run parallel to the A55 - chances are they'll mostly be interesting on some level, certainly compared to the A55 dull carriageway.

The 'H' in Wales is silent I think you'll find.....

along A548, A547 and B5115, there are some nice views but longer time since it passes towns along the north wales coast line.
A55 is faster but it's somehow similar with a motorway, dull and boring.
