The very broad answer is yes.

However the cost / complexity depends entirely on which model of MINI and what sort of seats it has.

If you have the black three pin plug under your chair already then the cost is the wiring retrofit kit I think its £120 but if you do not already have the elements in the seat ie no three pin black plug under the seat then your looking at £1500 + the wiring kit £120 and that is not including any fitting or stripping of the seat frames to fit yours on. I think the dealer quote is £3000 fitted or there about.

Best bet is to buy seats with the heating element in and then fit the retro fit wiring kit, there is no coding needed for that and while is a pain to fit its not too hard.

Its so expensive because the elements are built into the top material so all you keep from your old seats is the frame... Its really not a retrofit kit unless you have the elements already.

A long time back I managed to install waco heated seats but it was a case of removing the leather, fitting the pads and then glueing everything back together, took ages. The next time I purchased the sparco JCW racing seats which had the elements so I brought the retrofit kit (wires)

You could but as above you need to rip the leather / material off the foam behind and its difficult to get the can bus working with them, I managed it but I used to do trimming

The mini seat is held together with glue and lots of it, pulling the material off the foam can cause the air bag stitch to rip if your not careful, If they will fit it to a mini seat for that price I suppose its not too bad.
