Hi Guys,

Busy doing the wiring in the cab now, and got to thinking about security and all that stuff!

Given that IVA will have to come into my considerations, I wondered if any of you could suggest some good ideas for an alarm/immobiliser system, keyless entry or even keyless ign systems (RFID?) and their pros and cons?

Ideally I would like to fit central locking on the doors, Cat 1 security and a keyless ign system if possible (dont really like the std ignition switch arrangement), but what are my realistic options these days, as technology has moved a long way recently?

cheers

keith

Whilst I'm not usually a fan of alarms/immobilisers, I fitted a Toad a606 (IIRC) to the Can-Am which had wiring to trigger the central locking (which was the primary reason for doing so). All remote and had additional modules you could add to it to increase the functionality (microwave/tilt sensors etc.). At the time, it wasn't a requirement of SVA (now IVA), but it did what it said on the tin smile

Stick with a reputable brand and you can't go 'too' far wrong smile
