His car show where he drives electric cars

And yet again he comes up with a car that won't do the average pistonheaders commute of 600 miles a day.

It's the only tangiable part of his argument. I do maybe 400miles a month. So 20ish a day. Not huge amount. So there's an argument for a electric car. Only downside is that

1) When my car runs out of Diesel. I get another 400miles of range in under 10 mins (and a kit kat from the omnipresent display by the counter)

2) If I had an elctric car and wanted to drive to Germany, I can't. So I need another form of transport. And that rather defeats the point. A car can do EVERYTHING. Every "new" form of transport is either more grief to live with or limited in it's overall ability.

And given Humans are fundamentally lazy, we aren't about to abandon ease of use for the enviroment just yet. Besides, I've seen the trailer to that SCi Fi film "Skyline" and soon the Aliens will be sucking us up into their motherships, long before Crude runs out smile

This is a better one - extend the mileage of every gallon we use
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bh-l74EMZcs
Very economical for normal commutes but still with ability to do 100's of miles if needed

Never posted a link to this as it features a prius which does less then 1MPG and kills all children within 12 miles of it according to the experts
