I've noticed that quite a few cars in my local area, especially VAG cars, have been bombarded with Monster energy drink stickers recently. Is this due to anything in particular or is it just a statement that they are hardcore and dont sleep at night by taking energy drinks? IIRC Kenn Block had a Monster sponsored Impreza, but i dont see how that could be related back to VAGS?

I don't think there's any real reason other than they like the design.
A mate of mine in work has an '04 Blob-Eye Impreza WRX STi with the M on the rear tailgate - purely because he thought it'd look kinda cool...

hmmmm... I did see quite a funny one on a skoda octavia which read "diesel inside" in the form of intel logo! I had a little giggle before it got to the dual carraige way and torqued on!

They sponsor the mountain bike world cup as well and gave out heaps of stickers, perhaps said owners, or spawn of VAG owners covered cars with said stickers?

Off the few dozen MTB'er i know and ride with I can only think of one or two who dont own something VAG.
This maybe a small reason, otherwise I have no idea.

That kind of makes sense... a few of my ex MTB'ing friends are VAG lovers...

lol little O/T (I know on my own thread, bad!!!) A mate of mine who owns a golf had a pistonheads sticker on it which he bought at a show cause he thought it looked cool. Dont know if he's on the forums or not, but he likes the design! biggrin

I actually quite like it. We get it cheap at work (staff discount and sponsored by them) And I prefer it to Red Bull and Relentless.

I've seen it on other cars not just VAG ones.
But lets face it VAG owners don't have a reputation for being original do they?
Once one does it most seem to follow.

Yeah you're right, they were also giving out loads of free cans of the drink at the World Cup too. I drank one and haven't looked back since. I think they taste great particularly the tropical one that comes in the black can with the yellow graphics.

Monster + a11y = hurl

Can't stand the stuff! The folk handing the stuff out up at the World Cup were a bit taken aback when I told them "no thanks" as most folk scramble for anything that's free. Much preferred the German DH team (can't remember who) who gave away free beers at 11am on the Sunday morning smile

There's also that strange little group known as Monster Unit, all jap cars with a fair bit of many spent on them.

Different Monster sticker mind you, not the energy drink one.

I quite like Monster, much more pleasant than Red Bull. My current energy drink of choice is Tesco Kx because it's about 5p a can......

I don't like Rockstar though, they were giving them away at Knockhill BTCC, but it's far too sugary for my liking and I don't mind a bit of sugar.
