Yeah I was there... 10 red flags in the morning and I think 3 or 4 in the afternoon. I think the bloke with the Austin "vintage fluid dropping and general breaking down machine" owes me £179. What happened to the "you cause two red flags and you go home" rule? It also seemed that there were a few too many "experience day" people there i.e. the XTR chicane mob. Easytrack need a word with themselves.

Even though I had 2 maybe 3 good sessions I think that was the worst track day I've ever been on. I decided to go home around 3pm out of frustration.

The good news was that Donny is still fantastic and it was bone dry all afternoon and very grippy - shame it was a perfect storm of delays.

....just to add to this... Easytrack usually do a very good job and I've always been very happy with the other days they've done. Perhaps they could setup a day at Anglesey to compensate?? wink

Were you in the S2000?

I loved the Suzuki with the Hayabusa equivalent engine in... smile

No, I was in the Elise S2 'Type-R' - Honda conversion.

That cappuccino thing was slow as in the AM and quick when it dried. Must have been on slicks.

I was there in the Yellow Clio Cup.

The morning was quite frustrating, everytime you went out and started to get going there would be a red flag.

I caused a red in the afternoon when I spun at Redgate but was then told someone had just dropped fluid everywhere so I got caught out on that.

Was a good day though. smile Long drive for me from Scotland.

Loved the circuit, but that Austin was a complete joke! Think the driver was the chap that asked all the questions in the briefing then caused 9 of the 10 red flags in the morning. I was behind him coming out of coppice on 1 lap and he just sat there glued to the left side of the circuit all the way down Starkey's Straight. To make matters worse I was driving home down the M1 and there he was again, crawling down the inside lane at 50 holding up the traffic! At least I was able to pass on the right...!

Those Clio Cup cars are great, a mate of mine had one, do you have the sequential box in it?

I guess it was one of those days - not the usual Easytrack experience, as I said they are usually very good.

Not a great day with too many red flags, cars on track and mobile chicanes. The A40 I can almost forgive as it older than most of the drivers, but the Radicals, XTR's and other LeMans style cars dithering around and generally getting in the way is just a joke. Keep the experience days to sessioned trackdays in with the novices and if they want to do quick laps with an instructor purchase another slot for the same car in a faster session. Worked really well at Oulton Park earlier in the year. I think Easytrack have seen the error of their ways and future events should be much better.

Glad you boys made the best of it. It's a while since I used them but Easytrack days I've done have varied from the sublime to the ridiculous. Entirely down to the mix of drivers. Fun cup cars at Oulton spring to mind.
