Goldeneye 007 on the Wii
Discussion
It was brilliant on the N64, will it be a gaming hit for the Wii?
At first I fear it maybe a let down due to other Wii shooting games. I have Red Steal for the Wii. An early first player shooter on the console and a game that friends and I found hard to master due to it's awkward controls.
But... the adverts on TV suggest the use of the gamecube controller for added ease of play, or the classic Wii remote and numbchuck setup. Lets hope!
Online playable.
Game modes featuring include death match, team death match, you only live twice, golden gun, protect the flag, base capture.
Characters including Bond, Jaws, Odd-Job and Scaramanga.
It's due out any day now. £30 preorder from Play.com. £50 with a limited edition golden controler (everybody say oooooooo).

I think what I and my friends of 12 years ago would of wanted from todays game was golden eye content but with razor sharp graphics.
However the graphics look weak compared to what is achieved on the ps3 (unlike the original launch which was as good as the ps1) and tbh like getting mates around a n64 with my golden controller trying to recreate that feeling u got playing the game i feel it'll be a let down I'm not going to touch it.

The graphics don't look the best, but I'll sacrifice some of the graphics for a great multiplayer action, and it looks like it's up to 4 players on the same TV and up to 8 players online...
It might be best player with nuncuck to move around and a gun shaped holder for the remote... Maybe that will get rid of the advantage of "auto-aim" though.
It better have the "one shot kills" from the N64 version though. We pretty much played nothing else.

Were these the same guys who went on to make Timesplitters? Another brilliant game.
I think timesplitters is made by the people who did perfect dark - Rare. I think Rare were made up of some of the people who did Goldeneye but not all of them. Edited by Republik on Wednesday 3rd November 12:40
