Pheasant = 1 : T350 = 0

Heading over the North Yorkshire Moors yesterday and had a bit of an encounter with a pheasant that decided it didnt know the green cross code and when to step into the road... I managed to slow down quite a bit but as it took off it just clipped the passenger side headlight cover and has cracked it. (luckily it didnt hit the fibreglass front otherwise I am sure it would have been a lot worse!)
The T350 is the ideal car for pheasants.
I was running down an A road when one pegged it from left to right, stopped, I started slowing although it was on the other lane, it carried on, I lifted off the brakes, it suddenly reversed its direction and legged it all the way back in front of my car, I slammed on the brakes, the nose of the car dipped sufficiently to scoop up the pheasant as it was trying to get airborne and hoof it over the roof and back into the field.

My dad managed to crack the windscreen in his defender after meeting a pheasant at about 50mph on a road in east lothian(the pheasant was flying across the road from one field to another ) so it sound like the OP came off not to badly considering what could have happened.

Trouble is, pheasants do move around. Perhaps they should nail their feet down so everyone knows where they are and its the first time I have ever had an issue! Sods law I guess...

A bit like the other pics that go with the porka in the picture then!. I seem to remember getting that email a few years ago I bet it cost more to clean the interior than it did to replace the screen!shep1001 said:
