need a bit of advice and knowlege

Need a bit of help from you all
Next year me and the fiancee are planning on going for a drive round Scotland or a week or weekend (funds depending)and im not sure whether to go north, south or west from Aberdeen. We are basicly looking to maybe stop off at random small hotel a night or stay for a couple and set off for another drive. Basicly looking for decent roads and views and maybe some advice on which way to go.
Not exactly the most grand tour and not really a gt car but i think it would be fun and ill be sure to post up the pics

From aberdeen you want to head west, maybe Southdeeside then north when you reach Ballater take the A939 to Nairn. Then head to Inverness and take the A9 north to Alness then take the B9176 (The Struie) to the A836 then follow this all the way to Tongue.

Then I'd turn west and follow the coast all the way to Ullapool, then keep following the coast on the A832 through Gairloch and on to Kinlochewe, turning right there and heading to Shieldaig, then round the coast to Applecross.

Then decide how much time you have left and you can then either head back towards home, or keep going round the coast maybe on to Skye etc.
