As my garage is now clear my car's going in there.

Anything i need to look out for? My car generates a lot of heat from twin turbo's, can get really hot.

Would it be ok to park it in the garage straight away or should i leave it outside for a bit.

Why does your garage have twin turbos? Shirley a supercharger would be better?

You have a twin turbocharged garage? confused

It ought to be fine in the garage, I would have thought.

I have a bit of carpet nailed to the wall just where the door opens so it doesn't scratch. biggrin

It's best to stick the carpet on the car door rather than on the garage wall so it's with you wherever you park - also stops muppets dinging your doors.

I would have to guess its the car with the turbo's! My car is turbo charged and if i have been giving it some stick i always let it cool down wether its parked inside the garage or outside when i do it. It does get very hot in the garage when its cooling and it does take a little longer but its no big deal, the car cools correctly and there are no issues. If you lived in Saudi you would be parked in 35-40 degree heat but there is no cooling issues and it certainly doesnt get that hot in the garage.

Heat from the car will help keep the garage dry so put it in their hot.

Tip's

1 - Carpet the walls, to protect your doors

2 - Reverse in, can use side mirrors this way

3 - The last couple of miles back stay off boost and let the turbo cool down.

Now your garage is clear, paint the walls and the floor before you start using it for the car. Makes a MASSIVE difference to the levels of dust etc inside and makes it all a bit brighter as well.

In regards to parking straight up in the garage after a good old toasting. Not an issue IMO, I do it with the LC and all fine.

The only prob you may have is with the neighbours (if they are on the touchy side). When engine is running in the garage the walls do exaggerate exhaust noise when parked insidehehe

Edit to add, agree with these points as well.

Of course, i mean't car not garage biggrin

Feel a bit more at ease now, thanks for comments.

Just about 15 years ago, my neighbours car caught fire inside the garage and set half the house on fire. Always playing on my mind.

What's with the three commas? Did you mean to post an ellipsis?

buy a dehimidifier, especially if you leave cars in the garage that have been in the rain.

Essential piece of kit for the garage. You won't believe how much water they collect.
