Hi chaps. Usual MOT fail on front arm rear bushes so I thought I may as well change the wishbone complete and save myself another job later on. A number of suppliers on e-bay but some claim that the wishbones are different on models with sport suspension. I can't really see why this would be looking at it. Does anyone know for sure?

Oh, and while we're at it, how easy is it to remove the whole wishbone, are the ball joints on tapers into the subframe or do they come off ok?

They are different, yes.

Shouldn't be a hard DIY. I gather the hard parts are actually getting the things off where they are seized on (ball joint separator / hammer) and getting access to the nuts (lots of extensions or the right sized ring spanner).

Also use soapy water to push the rubber bushes onto the arm, don't use grease.

Sport arms are different and more expensive.
I changed mine a couple of years ago - relatively simple but a PITA doing it on the driveway undoing the balljoint nut 1/4 turn at a time.
