I am currently considering getting an XKR (once the chim has been sold) and having an LPG install. I am looking at probably a late 4.0 2002 or early 4.2 2003 car. Apart form the issues with the tensioners, is there anything else that should push me towards the 4.2 (ignoring the extra few horses). Is the 6 speed box any more/less reliable than the 5.
Does anyone on here run an AJ V8 on LPG. I have also read that over high milages (no idea what is defined as high) these angines can be prone to valve wear on LPG.
What sort of LPG systems are used, do they include any additional lubrication into the fuel stream. Any reccomendations on places to get the conversion done?

There is a company based in Worcestershire - www.go-lpg.co.uk - who advertises in the JEC magazine. He also has converted V8 engined cars for sale so it may be worth talking to him to find out more.

Go-lpg certainly look worth a call. Thank for the link. As for buying one already conbverted, if I find one then I probably will. Not the most common car to see advertised with LPG on.
There was one in the XK8R Club, I'll see if I can find the linkhttp://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2126771.htm
