Should I get a warranty on my 55 plate X5

Just bought a 3.0d X5 - 55 plate with just over 30k.

Seems in very good condition - very pleased. However I'm uncertain whether or not to risk it or purchase a warranty. I have enough cash that I could afford a relatively chunky bill, but just wonder what you think the best thing is economically given the age and mileage of the car.

I suppose the risk of something going wrong might be low but the impact would be potentially huge.

I went for a Warranty Direct warranty on my E60.
