probably paranoia but i dont feel comfortable typing in my pin when theres a previous drivers fuel cost and amount on the screen still.
theres no way of resetting the screen.confused

Pay at pump is great, speeds up the trips to the pumps quite a bit.

As for how to use them, put your card in. Put your pin in when it asks, take your card out. Fill up. Choose whether you want a receipt or not and drive off.

We've had them over here (Belgium) for years. I like the fact that I can fill up any time of day or night.

Edited for crap speeling.

never had a problem with them, the receipt and the subsequent debit from my account have always been for the fuel I have drawn.

they are another item ,like self service tills in supermarkets, for which a licence should be required to operate them

confused
No. Put in card, put in PIN, remove card, fuel up, leave.

Simple(s). And quicker than going to the people in the glass box.

You do realise it all comes from the same place, right?

Pay @ the pump is a great invention IMO

1 question - why am I limited to 59 quid max? Is it 59 quid for all cards/garages?

I take it, it just cuts out when you reach this limit? The closest I've got is approx 56

Where does Asda Fuel come from then? Compared to say Tesco?

Once you put your car in and then pin, it checks your card and then pre authorises a certain amount of fuel.

Mine is always £99, and then once you’re done it just takes from your card the cost for the exact amount of fuel you took.

Used it for the first time last week

while i was there there was a lady helping people out

but i noticed two people get out there cars speak to the lady and drive off without fuel

Tried it myself put in card and number , removed card put in fuel and i didn't take a reciept , was quite easy but whoever though that one entrance at the bottom needs a slap its a nightmare trying to turn right when the mini roundabout is so close and people turning in as well bad idea i think.

Morrisons petrol station was overflowing with cars , think ASDA may have made a boob but who knows smile

My bank account was out by £1 for a couple of weeks (balance compared to available funds) and I thought there was something iffy so called my bank who also said it was a bit iffy as someone had taken a quid of my debit card.

They called me back to say ASDA had taken a £1 when checking my card at the fuel pump and it would reappear to my balance.

Odd ????

Pay at the pump is great - I use it when I can. Yes it's convenient and quick, but the main reason I like it is that I secretly hope the person in the car waiting behind thinks I'm driving off without paying biggrin

I think they make a lot of money from the shops so I can't see it replacing the existing system entirely, but it's nice to have the option.

They're pretty straightforward, all the instructions are on the pump.
I like using them, unfortunately the same doesn't apply to those damned unmanned till things at the supermarket
