...because I just got home and found that my rear plate has disappeared mad Has anyone got any recommendations as to where I should get my plate done? Or perhaps someone has some experience of replacing the plates using an online supplier? I'm in Nottingham.

Cheers,

Perhaps an obvious answer but if you're needing a plate pronto, just try your local Halfords. And be sure to report the missing plate if it's suspected theft - I'd imagine there's a chance of you receiving a few speeding fines from areas you've not been near.

But it sounds like you need one asap, you could make one up with your artistic nature until your new one arrives and hope that you dont get a curly finger, thats what i have done in the past.

I don't suspect theft - it was there when I left work last night, but missing by the time I got home so I reckon it must have fallen off. Plus it's a Eunos, and the combination of the square numberplate plus the MX-5 community not generally being associated with nefarious activity futher cements my thoughts on that. I was thinking Halfrauds, but was wondering if anyone had experience of/recommended anywhere with better products/value. Looks like I'll be going with them then. Thanks for your comments...

The car the plate comes off has no bearing on the car it goes on. My boss got a speeding ticket from a place he'd never been to. When he saw the photo it was a Mitsubishi Shogun with his plate. He had a Celica GT4.

Just to update you guys, I'm getting some work done on the car at a bodyshop in Nottingham, and whilst there the guy saw my predicament & threw in a plate and fitting for £9!!!! Can't complain at all. Looks marvellous... Job done.
