Would I regret it? I'm on my second Navara now, it's just over 4 years old and I love it.
I'm considering swapping it in the spring for a new one again. But, maybe I fancy a change. scratchchin
I would like something with a boot, and maybe get a trailer for the stuff I would normaly carry in the pickup. What I would realy like is a Pathfinder, but, it's over my budget.
So I've been looking at the Kuga. Quite a bit smaller than a Pathfinder I know. But I realy like the look of it, it's 4x4 (I live in Mallorca so a 4x4 is very handy) and I can get a top of the range one, with all the nice extras, for the same price as the model of Navara I like.
The only downside I can see, is I realy like the power and torque of the Navara, 2.5 ltr 173hp and 400nm. The 2.0 diesel 6 speed Kuga is quite a bit down on that.
I'm going to try and get a test drive (Not easy here, as they don't usualy carry demonstrators, as it takes about three months to get a car that isn't in stock)
Any thoughts?
Cheers,
Mick.

What about the 2.5T Kuga?

Same engine as the Focus ST but a little de-tune'd.

Only available here in White. Also not available with the glass roof, which I realy like, and I also like the 6 speed manual.
The 2.5T option here is nearly €4,000.
What I'm wondering, is will I notice the difference between my 173hp 400nm and 140hp 320nm?
I would think where I will notice the difference, would be the handling, after driving a pickup with cart springs!
I guess I'll have to get a drive and see.

There is a 163bhp diesel version as well, performance wise there should be little in it. Handling wise, the Kuga should be better.

Probably, once the warranty is up.
I put a DTE box on my Navara, gave me another 30hp, or so they claim.
It certainly made a big difference! Quite impressive for a plug and play item.

At least no one's popped up and said don't do it the Kuga's crap! smile

I finaly got a look at one. What a nice car!
I booked a test drive through the Ford Espania web site. A nice girlie called me the next morning, asked a few questions, and I told her I wanted to trade in my Navara.
It took the local dealer a week to call.
Anyway, I popped in, and I found the salesman realy annoying!
When I've bought new cars here before, it's taken up to three months to get the car I want, so I'm looking now, with the intention of getting a car in March.
I made this quite clear when I filled in the aplication for a test drive, and to the pleasant girlie who called.
This Guy was adamant we where going to do a deal that day! Adamant I didn't need the 4x4 version I want, but the white FWD car in the showroom.
Even though I want a black one.
So I produced the print out from the configuration I wanted from the webpage.
So he then takes me to the car I want, outside. Except it wasn't! and he was going to make me a great deal, so we do it all today. mad
I left without a test drive.
Anyway, he calls me today with an offer on my Navara, and to be honest, I'm gobsmaked at what they've offered me for it! eek
I made it very clear to him this morning, in no unceartain terms, that I don't want to change my car until March, and I'll come and see him again in December, I will have a test drive, and all being well, I will tell him exactly the options I want, for delivery in March, and if it isn't in stock, then I don't mind waiting for the car.
So he's made a sale anyway, except the car sold itself.
Why don't car salesmen understand, some of us know what we want, and aren't interested in the sales pitch?
