Hi all

I have a 70k mile E46 330d coupe - cracking car and was thinking of selling it and getting an M3 - but have second thoughts as actually quite like it....its my daily commuting car - although only a short commute of 25 miles each day but if I keep it i'm keen on adding a bit more power etc.

Looked into the DMS upgrade to 250bhp - anyone else done this? Impressions? - alternatives?

Also, the rear exhaust pipes look a bit sorry for themselves - std rear box, looking to replace so might aswell have a bit more of a sportier sound/appearance - again - anyone got any recommendations?

Having traded down form a 2008 525 M Sport last year - I do miss the feel of the steering wheel - although current one is the standard m Sport wheel - its getting on a bit now and a bit "spongy" rather than firm - can you get these re-trimmed to OEM standard or get a newer wheel? (just conscious of the Multifunction/Airbag situation!)

Finally - any other upgrades? - not looking for anything too radical and no body mods.

cheers all in advance

I have the same steering wheel in my 530i.

I paid somebody on Ebay £99 to retrim it in brand new leather. It now feels absolutely lovely - it's like a brand new one.

Cut the tailpipes back and put some trims on. No back box will make a tractor sound decent.

I've been thinking about putting this downpipe on my 530d - made by ecotune - here's the link for the similar downpipe for yours:

Not sure how to make it clickable.
