Disco 3 or Range Rover

I was watching "what katie did next" the other night............When i noticed that although Jordan owns a Range Rover Vogue a Range Rover sport and a Porsche Cayenne they seem to go everywhere in the Discovery. Made me take a second look and think she's right the modern discovery (3 or 4) is better looking than the modern Range rover. What does PH Think, or are they both none ph cars so nobody gives a st.

Personally I prefer the looks of the RR over the shoebox Discovery which just looks like an oversize Lego kit. A guy in the Yank section recommends the Lincoln Navigator...

Having stood between a disco 3 and a range rover sport, i was surprised to see the disco was taller and had more presence. (I have a wierd and wonderful taste in cars, i have owned a Cerbera and a 300c 5.7 v8).

I'm wondering if prices would be more equal as they get older, say would a 5 year old disco and a 5 year old rangey be a similar price. If so i'd go for the Discovery.

I hate the looks of the discovery - looks like a giant box with no styling effort at the back what so......however it is very practical - yipeee

I really like the looks of the RR Sport personally, not as mad on the Vogue

The disco is absolutely massive.

Having driven both, I'd take the Disco3/4 over the RRS everytime....

It drives better....

It's more practical.....

It doesn't make you look like you want to be a WAG

I'm thinking Disco's probably hold thier value better as well, will have to check the classifieds when i have more time

If you're after practicality, eg messy kids, lugging stuff about, bikes, usual family stuff, go for the Disco, mine's been brilliant.
If you want to look like a wannabee get the RRS.
If you don't have kids get a TDV8 Vogue.

I have a new Disco 4 which personally I think looks great now, I love it, I wanted the practicality but absolutely love it...... The best all rounder on sale today and for the only thing it can't do.... Such as spirited fun driving at very high speed.... I have a 997 C2S .......

I went from Porsche to Maserati to Range Rover Sport. I spotted Martin Brundle jumping out of his Range Rover a few weeks ago; the model must have some redeming features if an ex Formula 1/sports cars driver uses one.

Not quite sure what I "Wannabe" in the Range Rover but I do know it's an excellent drive, is refined and has plenty of space.

Disco looks best IMO. RRS is ok and the RR looks fat, bloated, middle aged with a belly.
