Coolant temp gauge repairers?

I have a failed Ultima Coolant temp gauge fail. Are ther any repairers for this or is a new one from the factory the best (cheapest) option?

Or anyone with one going spare in the garage?

I purchaed an additional one for my transaxle and IIRC it wasn't very expensive. I'd bet they are almost a throw away item if dud, just be sure it's the gauge and not the sender.
