Thinners required for enamel paint

A customer of mine wants to paint his engine with enamel, and asked what thinners to use

I've never used enamel so I've no idea

Anyone know ??

I think white spirit is the thinner of choice here

Thanks, I thought it was, but I tried a test sample on the paint he showed me, and it didn't mix at all

Maybe it's not enamel after all !!
