Anyway browsing the web and found this interesting looking project on the Practical Classics forum. Chap in Wrexham cutting down a BMW E36 compact and fittng a Mk1 Escort shell.

I remember seeing this done with sapphire cossies back in the day, surprised someone is doing it now with the prices of mk1's through the roof

Escort shell looked as rotten as you like; good use of it though, and with M3 running gear I imagine it would be quite amusing...
