Another New T350C Owner - Quick Oil Question

Hi All,

Just picked up my sweet sweet princess (Laser Blue T350C) the other week and am loving it... the only issue is i'm driving too much! (Its supposed to be a second car!)



Just quick question - checked the oil for the first time the other day and its pretty low - how much oil does it take between the min and max marks on the dip stick? 1Litre? 1/2 Litre? - Don't want to over fill it...

Before answering this question can I ask how you checked the oil?
If you leave it too long after shutting down the engine the oil can drain pretty quickly back into the tank.

Cheers - Yep i've seen that link

I checkeded the oil by:
- opened bonnet
- part unscrewed oil cap (burnt myself about 5 times!)
- turned the engine off
- removed oil cap/dip stick
- wiped dipstick and reinsterted

From turning the engine off to checking the oil was probably 1 - 2 mins + a whole lot of swearing!

Andy - that procedure sounds fine. I've hardly ever topped up my oil, but I think it will take around 1 litre min and max but since this is a dry sumped engine it is less fussy about a small amount too much. I'd still try and get it right though Put half a litre in and see what it reads next time you check.
