oil and filter!

its due for a change! What oil and filter would anyone recommend!

The question on which oil to use has been argued in these pages many times. I personally use Mobil 1 Motorsport 15w-50. It's expensive (£35 for 4L from Halfwits). Alternative is 5w-40 from France. What is generally not recommended is the 0w-40 which is like bat's piss!

Filter is std. V8 Landrover/Rangie.

Genuine filter is about £6, if you can get the oil from France it is so much cheaper I think from memeory I paid about £20 in a hypermarket as mentioned before just keep an eye on the viscosity.

Mine had Castrol Semi synthetic 10w40 put in at the las services. Will top up with mrisons golden film semi synthetic 10w40 from shrewsbury in future.

Std Landie oil filter was £8 from Halfwits!
Confirm Mobil 1 is about £20/4L in Frogland.
