I bought a used catalytic converter for my Boxster from Design911. £150 from a year old car as opposed to £615 from OPC. Arrived in 2 days. No problems at all. It even came with the heat shielding which strictly speaking is another part.

I'm not rich and therefore not proud!

I normally buy wear and tear items new or remanufactured e.g. brake parts, engine ancilliaries etc.
However, I happily go secondhand for other stuff - glass, bodywork, trim etc.

You get what you pay for. Most things I happily pay for second hand (ie starter motor, interior trim) but others I will ONLY buy new and ONLY Original Porsche itmes- cam belts, etc

I use Porsche apart (www.porscheapart.co.uk). There are others (douglas valley), but remember that these parts will not be guaranteed. As I said, you pays your money...
