A nice and mostly accurate piece. ![]()
Thanks.
You think?
- Speed 6 worth £600 more than the 4.2 (not likely)
- Private sale prices quoted seem low
- All 4.5's came with 18" wheels, 2000 models had larger wheels
- Rover v8 engines used for the first 12 months!
- Removing cats adds 40hp
- 4.5's use a lot more oil (do they?)
- Head gaskets are prone to go on the speed 6. If that's the main issue then what are we worrying about?
- Sports exhausts are £700

The buttons and dials may be bespoke but don’t expect a handbook saying what any of them actually do.
I had my old boy pulling some similar type of comment out of What Car? when I first pulled up on his drive-way ... Cut&Paste ... ???
Clock -> must admit, isn't marked with helpful text such as "Timepiece" ... but give it 60 seconds or so and you quickly work it out ...
Fuel Guage -> petrol pump gives the game away for me ...
erm ... what other dials could ever be confusing ...
Accept the fact that windows, door openers and central locking are not marked, however, it's not exactly rocket science is it ... ?
I know it's not worth getting upset about negative comments re: the marque
however, it would be nice to see some objective journalism for once ... As has been said above, I for one find myself pouring petrol into the boot nearly every time ...

Err, I got a handbook and it tells be what all the buttons and dials do.
Although, if you got a dial with a picture of an oil can and the initials PSI it's hardly difficult to work out what it's telling you!
