Good sport/supercar hire companies..?

I'm turning 30 in January next year and, to celebrate, have been seriously considering treating myself to a day or two hire of a proper sports car - seeing as 30 seems to be the age when these people will actually let you hire cars from them!

I've had the chance to drive various great cars on supercar "experiences" (Aston DBS, Ferarri 355, Murcielago, Audi R8), I've taken my own car on various circuits now (including the Nurburgring) and just feel the next step would be to enjoy a proper car but on roads I know for a few days.

Just wondered if anyone had any experience of any companies in particular that they'd recommend.

Car wise had been thinking about something like a 911 (Turbo?) - still never driven any kind of Porsche and think it's the kind of car I'd love to try - and I think I'd prefer something I could get in and drive rather than having some huge, scary, intimidating supercar to manhandle around
