Water pump flow rate to cool engine

An odd one. And I hope this is in the right forum for such a question ...

I am contemplating a project to replace the belt-driven water pump on my car with an electrically-driven pump.

What sort of flow rate would I need the pump to be able to provide to ensure sufficient cooling?

Engine is 3.0, with a power output of 220bhp.

All help welcomed - along with suggestions of where to buy such a pump from.
