random 1 series question

Afternoon all,

my friend has recently got a 123d, 08 plate and is a lovely car. however it has a random silver 'box' under the carpet in the boot with wires going to it. i said amp or tracker but he only has 6 speakers so not logic 7 and when sold the car wasnt told anything about tracker. random question i know but searching on tinternet has turned up nothing

no mate, its a small(few inches tall) thats probably just under a foot long and around 6 inches arcoss

I once passed a guy in a 1er who was trying to jump start his mate and they were raking around under the bonnet looking for the battery (I did stop to help btw)

I'm surprised it doesn't have under-bonnet battery connections like the Z4 though - being a more recent design.

The bluetooth box also controls the MOST system associated with the Professional head unit (not necessarily extra speakers) and USB connection.

The box is a multifunction unit so if you have either

-Prof hifi
-hifi speakers
-Logic7 speakers
-USB
-Bluetooth

Or any combo of the above you will have this box. I have L7 + Prof + USB but no Bluetooth and have the box.

It has a bluetooth logo on it if you look closely.

The L7 or hifi speaker amp is in the left wheel area.

By telling him the battery was in the boot, you were still correct.
