Cross posting sometimes useful - please re-open thread

Hi guys,

Please see this thread:-

...which has been closed because of 'cross-posting'. I deliberately posted in both sections as:-
- I didn't want to post in regional forums as I'm prepared to travel;
- General Gassing gets lots of visitors but moves quickly so threads can get missed
- Bodywork will get the specialists but doesn't get visited that often unless someone needs help.

Now I can see the perspective of running a website and the additional load on the servers, but in this instance was it THAT big a deal? And notice that different people have posted in both threads. Any chance the GG one could be unlocked to get today's visitors to see it?

Cross posting to the relevant regional forum would probably have been tolerated, but cross posting amongst the big forums is frowned upon. While it might be useful to you, it just clutters the place up from the point of view of everyone else, especially as that's not really a GG topic anyway.
