Been getting some grief with the s60's dashboard namely throwing up fault messages that arent there and the clocks going dead.I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good local to sandhurst instrument cluster repairer?
cheers

Is it definitely the dash?

My mum's S60 did something similar and a couple of weeks later the battery died.
Bought a new battery and suddenly the dashboard (and everything) was fine again. It was like the dashboard had a premonition....

well im not 100 % its the dash just kind of going by what people on the volvo forum have been saying as they seem to be roughly describing what im getting and the previous owner had had the same problems and had the dash repaired but maybe it could be the battery.Did your s60 have any other outward signs that the battery was going ie dim headlights poor starting ect ?
cheers

Not at first - it sorted randomly threw up traction control and airbag and ABS and those sort of lights, but after a couple of weeks it turned into poor starting and lights being dim when the car was at idle but getting brighter when driving along at normal revs.

Have you got a receipt from the last time the dash was repaired?

My V70 had the Traction light playing up, couple of years ago and a new battery fixed it, was the original and near 10 years old.
That aside I would imagine a new battery would be a cheaper option to see if it gives you a fix if its of a certain age and with winter here.
