Hello you Southern lot.

I'm picking a new car up from Windsor tomorrow and we might decide to stay over rather than drive the 200 miles back up North, after travelling down on the train.

Can anyone recommend somewhere nice nearby where we can stay and eat? ~£150 for the room maybe? I wouldn't mind a little drive of the new jalopy so maybe something within 30 miles of Windsor, preferably to the West as we'll be going to Bath the next day.

Cheers

Is Windsor that 'nice'? When I went to see the car I went into town for a coffee. It was full of tourists and the Starbucks was filthy. That's my only impression so far!

One of my locals, I must admit I've not stayed, but the food is good and within budget.

Thanks. Booked and ready to go! If you're in there tomorrow night, look out for a very happy tall northerner!

I'm currently staying at the Princess Margaret Hospital Windsor. The room and food are just fine, and plenty of secure parking biggrin
