Seatbelts in the rear ?

I went to the D&C TVRCC meet yesterday and noticed when I was looking around that mine was the only Chimaera there with rear seatbelts ? They come up from underneath the front seats then anchor at the rear( joining in the middle) what are they for ? Is it some kind of luggage setup ? Comments please . Thanks

Some kind of harness attachment?

Maybe a dog basket holder?

Perhaps they're securing straps for a carrycot Corin.

Oh well , seeing as I have neither of these things perhaps I should strap a jap-box driver in the back and show him what a real car goes like !!
