Hanging a Flat Screen TV
Discussion
I'm now getting to the plastering stage of my loft conversion and the 2 kids will have flat screen TVs in their own bedrooms.
The wiring is near enough sorted but..............
When the TV is wall mounted I'd prefer all the gubbings to be hid behind the TV. However her indoors doesn't like things on "Standby" at night! Fair enough!
So have any you lot hung a TV with a socket and where etc???
I know I can place it to the bottom left hand corner of the screen, logical thinking!, but is there another way I just can't see?
Thanks in advance!

We have got sockets which are hidden behind stuff but the switches are seperate and accessible. The idea came from the builders who have put the sockets for the fridge, washing machine etc at the back of there holes under the worktop but the switches are above the worktop and but switched off quickly and easily if needed. We carried this though to the lounge but the switch now switches a number of sockets off ie tv, surround sound, x box etc so when we work away we can easily turn off all the none essential stuff.

spurs then
;0I believed that a spur had the item wired directly in to it so these are not spurs but if I'm wrong, I stand corrupted! Although the face plate are technically switched neon spur tops they are switching the socket not the item itself but hey ho, hopefully the OP knows what I'm on about!
