More fun to be had.

Tried to fit my G50 02 (it has longer gearing so similar in length to G50 03) to my LS7 (clutch , fly wheel etc from Ultima) and found that the starter ring hits the inner of the bell housing and so stops the gearbox sliding onto the engine for the last few inches. I will take some pictures in the morning but has anybody else had this problem and any idea how to fix this?

turbo clutch i presume? ie ring gear on the pressure plate?

get your grinder out Guy! Not a nice job but the turbo clutch will not fit inside the later G50 bellhousings without some clearancing

Had to open out the bell housing on my G50 20 to clear the ring gear.
Air die grinder and carbide bit.

are you sure it is the ring gear ?
the clutch that i got from the factory required a new thrust bearing guide tube with a diameter of 34mm instead of the 32mm that is most likely installed in your box. if you order one get a set of new screws as well i had to drill mine out.
