Foil up or foil down?
Discussion
Guy’s quick insulation question. I am doing some top up insulation in my loft with some B&Q stuff that is wrapped on one side with foil and plastic on the other. Is the foil surpossed to point down towards the ceiling or up into the loft. The instructions don’t indicate?
Thanks in advance

A quick google seems to say UP as it also acts as a vapour barrier.
Is it rolled? If so then there will only be one sensible way to lay it straight from the pack
Is your wallpaper back to front ? Is your carpet face down ? Is it rolled? If so then there will only be one sensible way to lay it straight from the pack

Surely the OP wants to keep the heat in his property ? and not just warm his loft up ?

If you disagree enough, go find some evidence to support your stance and post it up!!

Love the way everyone has to disagree, I will just keep laying the right way up as I have been for over 15 years maybe Celotex know nothing about insulation and they have it wrong.
Stop being so defensive lmao
