see new discs (wilwood kit) being installed on mk1 capri. Problem is the disc hits the inside of the stut. I'm sure the disc is on the right way (??) and theres no spacers t fill out the gap. Any thoughts people?

Many Thanks

Well at the risk of stating the obvious, either they're the wrong way around, or they aren't right for the hubs.

Shouldn't the disc fit on the studs..?

The calliper should be where the disc is...

Try looking at the other side...you've not dismantled it yet, have you..?

Well they do appear to have holes for the studs, but that would make the studs very short to hold the wheel on.

Oh yeah, those two holes do appear to be to bolt the calliper on.

How did the disc even get on there? Did you have to take the whole hub off to get the disc on?

If this is the limit of your machanical knowledge then you shouldn't be working on a wheelbarrow let alone the brakes on a car!!.

Just try a few different positions, it's only the brakes after all, what could possibly go wrong...

Seriously, pay a proper mechanic to do the job properly before you cause an accident.

Just leave the brakes off. According to Bill the fastest way to ride a bike is to ignore the brakes, and Bill is an amazing rider. I assume the same principal can be applied to all motor vehicles.
