Porsche 930 and Fuchs wheel colours.

Just having a little think as you do about my 89 930. I love the wheels on it, and would'nt want to change them as such. I just got to thinking that they (Fuchs) came in a huge number of colours from the factory. I think you could pretty much order whatever you wanted at the time. With my car being Grand Prix white, i guess i can more or less get away with almost any colour, so i am thinking of looking out for another set of turbo wheels for a change every now and again.
Question.....Does anyone recall them in a rather nice shade of dark blue?..I also remember i think a vivid sort of green!!

Many 2.7RS cars came with a light blue as well as red livery from the factory - in much the same way as the 996 GT3 RS.
Personally, I think the satin RSR look is a real winner - as on these 17" replicas on a US car.
I can add a +1 on white centres though - this is my 3.2 with white centres on early Turbo 7&8 Fuchs. I bought the car and intended to change the centre colour - but it really has grown on me and I've still not changed them. I'll probably get a set of RSRs for winter tyres for a bit of variety and keep my genuine fuchs in their factory white finish.

I dont think the Turbo car's came with script down the side did they? Apart from the early "Martini" car's.
Fancy that dark blue, dont know it's called, it's a bit like a pale sort of navy blue. Then of course the wheel centre colours!!!!!

Turbo cars never had the carrera script I don't think - but then I don't think they ever had wheels coloured other than black or body colour (?). A script might look OK if you got rid of the shark fins. Fancy that dark blue, dont know it's called, it's a bit like a pale sort of navy blue. Then of course the wheel centre colours!!!!!

I suspect orange wheels/script would look good on a white car.
If you're really brave you could go for the 1974 3.0RS look and go for Gold!!!!

No Turbo cars never had the carrera script - but then they never had wheels coloured other than black or body colour. Script might look OK if you ditched the shark fins. Personally I am also a fan of the black centred Fuchs most of the time. 2.7RS's, white with blue or red with matching centres also works for me. I was in a quandry what to do with my own but Loz who was heavily involved in the build of the car wanted the car to look menacing. As a graphic designer he chose the colour. A very dark grey. "you cannot powder coat them black as it makes the tyres look grey. We have to choose a colour that makes the tyres look black"
