I got the bug. Tried not to buy it in shops then it appeared for download on steam :-(
Going the tought root......Taken charge of Newport County in the blue square. Fancy trying to go for a 5 year plan to join Cardiff and Swansea in the Championship.
Thought that would be pretty cool. If i cant get there in 6 years ill leave and prob go abroad.

On FM10 I won the Premier League with Spurs in my first season (on about my 6th try after failing with my beta tactics!) yet it's going pretty terribley at the moment. Lost 2-0 to Citeh at home and just snuck a 1-0 win against WBA.
Selling players seems to be rather difficult too.
Trying to shift Peter Crouch and 'O Hara at the minute.Selling players seems to be rather difficult too.
I have a huge squad and just like in real life drew Inter in the European cup!

I'm trying a new tactic now and it seems to be doing quite well.
First game of the season Modric got injured for 4 months, that knocked me back a bit!

Started a game with Bolton last night. Shifted out a lot of the old squad. Riga, Samuel and Cohen all sold. Trying to get rid of Joey O'Brian by any means possible but he won't leave.
Only managed to bring in Andy Webster from Rangers as a proper transfer so far to sure up my defence.
Mendy, Kapo, Enzo Maresca all brought in on free transfers. Just as Maresca was starting to look like doing something he got injured for 6 months with a broken foot.

Good old Luton Town for me. £0 budget for players bit I have managed to pick up some free beautys:-
Fabian Brandy - Super quick striker, ex Man U
Chris James - New Zealand international good playmaker
King Gyan - No, not a porn star but a defensive midfielder. A Makele for tramps
Devann Yao - American right winger
Paul Bateman - Good lower league keeper
All free and could all do a job at League 1 downwards and most importantly FREE

Anyone got any tips for tactics?
I have absolutely no interest in football but I love FM games so could really do with some help!
I've never heard someone say they don't like football but like FM before. Good man!I have absolutely no interest in football but I love FM games so could really do with some help!
Well people are telling me that 4-1-2-1-2 is working for them.
Though if you're Spurs and you have 2 players who hug the line, I can confirm this does not work

I'm working hard to get a tactic working as well as my last one (Spurs won the league in first season, Newcastle get in to Europe in 2 seasons and Watford promoted in 1 season) but I'm flopping. I'll let you know when I manage something!
Just re-kindled my love affair having lost many of my teenage hours to this game....
So far so good, playing as the mighty Swans!
Only annoyance so far is the judgement of the player happiness engine - one of my top strikers is now 'unhappy' about being put in the reserves for a 1st team v reserve team friendly!! It was only because I wanted to make the teams fair!! Would never be the case in real life.
Oh, plus it can be frustrating when you try and emulate the successful way your team play in real life, only to find in FM it does not work so well....
Other than that, it's fantastic.

I have been using a 4-3-1-2 and it hasn't really worked so will give the one you mentioned a go!
If you do find any perfect tactics, do let me know
