Hello ph'ers

I have recently purchased a new car and the V5 has turned up at my house with my surname spelt incorrectly (everything else is in order)

I mean its 1 letter different. There is an o instead of an A. Will I have to apply and pay for a new V5 document or wll the DVLA correct their issue FOC?

Dont really want to be paying out £25 for something that I may not have to. I mean is it illegal?

Any info greatly appriciated thumbup

Same happened to me. I just sent it back with a note showing how my name should appear and they sent it back corrected with no charge.

Yes, you just write a letter and send it back with the name slip and they'll correct it. They managed to incorrectly spell mine twice in a row, even when I supplied them the name printed :/
