Appreciate all insurance is spiralling at the moment, but I know bugger all about if it's different for vans so if anybody has any tips they'd be much appreciated smile

The van would ideally be a Transit sized van. Will be alarmed and trackered, as that will bring it down more than the cost of fitting. Kept on driveway, not the greatest of postcodes. It'll be used for social only under the usage type. When it comes around I'll have had a driving license for a year, and a year's NCB. Will be limited to 4,000 or so miles a year. Cheapest quote I'm getting is £3100 on a Transit, £4200 on an LDV Pilot and all upwards from there laugh Even on a little C15 it's 3 grand.

Is this typical of what to expect? The van won't be a necessity so if it is then ho hum, do without. I was getting quotes earlier in the year for (significantly) less than that with no NCB, though confused
