The latest operation by N.Wales police, apparantly acting under orders from the Welsh Ass-embly, was to close off one lane of the A55 Conway Tunnel thus creating a huge trafic jam on Good Friday.

They claimed it was for safety reasons as, if a bomb went off in the tunnel, emergency services could not get to the scene with standing traffic in two lanes !!

Should we now have a law which says no-one can enter a tunnel uless they know they can drive through without stopping???

Can this disruption to holiday traffic be deliberate.

Surely not, though last year on a peak traffic holiday, police allowed a huge load to be moved and created a 20 mile traffic jam.

Must have come from the assembly, iirc there is a speed enforcement camera in that area. Standing traffic = no cash for heir brun (can't even bring myself to write his name!!!!!!!)

no doubt though, they'll claim it to be the safest easter break in years with regards to speeding deaths.

As for the motive

A terrorist choice of bomb site

London docklands.....or a little known tourist town?????
tough choice, or maybe the terror organisations hate caravans too
