Invest in the Cerb or Import a Ford Falcon Bathurst Racer

The Cerb was great at the end of the season once we'd sorted it out, running up to 6th at Brands GP and 9th (I then spun on both occasions assisted by my competitive mates!) at Silverstone in a car that you just have to stick the horn on and it's MOT able, with Cats on it already etc....impressive for a 1994 motor!

The GT Cup guys are very convincing to have us out again next year and I really like the organisation and people involved with the series and all the competitors.

I don't want to make it a super modified racer as it's close to being eligable for other "older car" series, and my Frogeye and my E- Type and I went down this route before.

I can dial out some power, maybe use restrictors, to get in to Group 2, Group 1 is a tough call at 1150 kgs (and a 1994 car) and 480 bhp, versus the new Ferrari's and Porsches and their related budgets!

I've been in some dialogue to ship back a 2010 Bathurst race car, but at 650 bhp and 1400kg they don't really fit any series except Britcar? I'd have to dial it down for GT Cup.

Come on John, what are you doing this for, unfortunately time may be against you for a career as a racing driver, and you only started this because you loved the Cerb', didn't you? I know you've chucked a shed load of money at the Cerb' but isn't the Bathurst goin to be even more of a money pit?

At the end of the day, only you know what you want to do, whatever you do it's sure to be fun.
