I'm after about 20 or so plug sockets and light switches. In the past (before you could get everything online) I'd swear by going to an electrical wholesaler. However, that's not easy as I'm not at home much at the moment.

So are there any online sites that are good for such things?

Ditto. Good choice and good prices. I'd recommend MK, good quality.

If you stick to known brands, ebay might work ok.

Another recommend for tlc and if they don't do it, Screwfix. We use the tlc stuff commercially and have never had a problem with it, plus they are happy to get stuff out and let you see it if you go to a counter.

Cheers all, looks like I'll be paying a local TLC a visit.

I've used TLC and rate them. Check prices online before going though.

I've found Toolstation significantly cheaper on some items and TLC cheaper on others.

Generally Toolstation is 1/3 less than Screwfix for identical products. Toolstation was started by the person who started Screwfix (after he sold to B&Q) so I can imagine they know what to do to get those prices!

I have used the local TLC too, they have a nice range of stuff but are quite pricey on some things so comparing between the three places for the more expensive stuff is worthwhile, then buy the cheaper stuff at wherever you end up.
