M4 East J18/19 and M5 J18 South

M4 East J18/19 closed and M5 J18 Gordano South at a standstill for the last 45 minutes - stay home if you can!

I turned for home due to the M4 closure and got stuck on the M5!

News now saying m4 re open

Accident cleared m5 but prob large tailback

Blimey, must have just missed that one, joined M4 east bound, J19 at 0605hrs this morining

There is a reason I use the back roads upto J18 because if anything is going to happen it will be between J18 - J19.

Listening to the radio this morning they said a person was knocked down and killed.

I passed the incident on the M5, must have been minutes after they closed it. There were plenty of emergency vehicles in attendance, but I did think it strange I didn’t spot any other vehicles.

They re-opened the M4 about 10 minutes before I got there. Which was nice.
